Meet Our Team

Steve Collins, MA, LPC, NCC

I have been working with youth and families for over 10 years. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I specialize in working with children ages 2 to 18 as well as their family members to provide individual and family therapy.

Common issues I can support you with include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ongoing or past trauma and abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), family relationships and changes in the family, such as fostering or adopting. I also am trained to work with those needing assistance with anxiety, depression, parenting strategies and skill building. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your child.

I will support your family in meeting your goals through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and play therapy. I also work with Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and provide education on trauma, child development and mental health symptoms.

My approach is diverse and will be tailored to your identity, beliefs and circumstances. Whether you are a child, teen, adult, parent, or feel your whole family system could use support, I look forward to working with you.
